Recently I replaced a “server” machine for a specialist neurology practice. There are three machines total at the practice mainly running Medilink software, which has a feature for creating letters that exports patient data into Microsoft Word 2003 using the clipboard and mail merge macro. After the server replacement the macro started taking about 40 seconds to complete the merge while before and completed in less than 10.
