Situation: networked Wintel PC. MS Office 2000 installed on a shared drive.
Yesterday, upon opening MS Word for the first time that day, it opened without any menus. I tried right-clicking, but the commands therein are limited. I clicked elsewhere on the open document, nothing. Finally, a tech support person came over, and we deleted the normal.dot item on my “c:” drive. The same situation existed, even after rebooting. Short of reinstalling the software, is there any other way to remedy this situation???
