I have been running WSUS 2.0 for a while now, and recently upgraded to WSUS 3.0. Now I can’t get any of my old client-force scripts to work. I’ve gone out and tried others and even wrote my own and nothing seems to force the clients to update.
And no, installing AD is not an option in my situation.
The script I wrote most recently does hit the WSUS server, as it shows up in the computers list in the management console, but then it never updates, even when I go to Command prompt and type “wuauclt /detectnow”.
Has anyone figured out how to do this with WSUS 3.0 yet? Please let me know!

Something else to point out, all of the computers listed in the WSUS Admin Console say “This computer has not reported status yet”. This never changes.
