XP and HP Deskjet 720C Printer

I have a HP PC with XP Ho,me edition and HP Deskjet 720C Printer linked. I tried a lot of solutions wihtout success to made them work together. Sometimes prints the whole work, someones the first page and other just a portion of it and get hunged. CPntavcted HP service and drivres and no oslution up to now
Any solutions at hand

When the printer is just linked to one computer does it do the same thing or does it work correctly? Also when you print a test page does it always work?
