XP disrupt W2000 network

By Ah Beng ·
Anyone heard of a XP notebook when joining a W2000 network, will cause all W2000 wirless notebooks to drop out of the network? FYI, this XP client is the only one in this network. Wifi is 802.11b.

Have you tried removing the problem notebook from the network? Does everything reconnect? Or can you manually reconnect all of the other notebooks? Do you only have notebooks on your network? Do you use DHCP to join to the network? Please add more info.

Hi, once the XP notebook is removed from the network, all other systems are able to connect back to the network.
- All other notebooks and workstation are W2000. This notebook is the 1st xp to join the workgroup.
- Other notebooks are also W2000 and are from different manufacturer.
- The XP is using intel pro 2200b chipset with 11b/11g.
- The wireless network is set to 11b. Have also tried setting the xp notebook to 11b but the same problem exist.
Thanks.
