This is the problem. An end user leaves the pc for 30 minutes or so and when she returns sees a blank screen. When the computer is revived she has to re-enter her username and password. All of her programs are still running. Obviously the computer is going into standby mode. How do I get this problem to stop?
This is what I have done:
Gone into the Display properties and turned off every conceivable switch under power management including hibernate and stanby. Next, I went into the bios and again turned off every conceivable switch in power management here. Also, “Prompt for password when computer goes off stanby” is not selected.
Does anyone know of a possible registry hack to help or maybe a service that I could turn off?
