Hi!
We write internal apps in VB.Net. They run on every workstation in the building except one. If I log into this machine as the domain administrator, the programs run no problem. When I log on as this user, as soon as the program is run it says “[Program] has encountered an error and will now close”. Not details at all, it just crashes. I have give this user:
– Full control of the entire C drive
– Full Administrative rights on the network
– Full Administrative rights to the local machine
– Given “Everyone” full control of the entire C drive
– Given the user full control of the registry
– Re-installed .Net Framework 1.1
– Re-installed .Net Framework 2.0
– Scanned for viruses/adware
– Appled all windows updates
…and these programs still won’t run. This user is in effect, an enterprise administrator with full control over this entire machine and the network. I’ve gone into User Accounts and specified them as an Administrator (their domain account, not the local one).
Any ideas? This makes no sense at all. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!
