Meta’s AI glasses are getting an official Philippine release, with Tagalog voice support and prices starting at ₱34,149 (about $541).

Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses will go on sale through authorized local retailers on November 10, 2026, Meta and EssilorLuxottica announced. Four product lines are included, covering everyday eyewear, prescription-ready frames, and sports-focused designs.

The launch gives Filipino consumers authorized local purchasing options and a clearer route to warranty support. Buyers will still need to compare prices and available features, which can differ by frame configuration and market.

Philippine prices and model differences

The Philippine launch announcement confirms four starting prices:

Model Starting price
Oakley Meta HSTN ₱34,149 (about $541)
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 ₱34,933 (about $553)
Ray-Ban Meta Optics Gen 2 ₱36,501 (about $578)
Oakley Meta Vanguard ₱42,661 (about $676)

USD equivalents are approximate, based on the November 6 exchange rate of ₱63.143 per dollar. Final prices may vary by frame and lens configuration.

Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 comes in Wayfarer, Aviator, and Zena styles, with a 12-megapixel camera and 3K video recording. The Optics Gen 2 collection includes Blayzer and Scriber frames designed for prescription-lens wearers.

Both collections support hands-free photo and video capture, open-ear audio, calls, messaging, and Meta AI voice assistance.

Oakley Meta HSTN features a sports-inspired design, a 12-megapixel camera, and IPX4 splash resistance. The more expensive Vanguard targets runners and cyclists with an ultra-wide camera, IP67 dust and water resistance, and Garmin and Strava integrations.

As YugaTech reported November 5, Meta AI will support Tagalog voice interactions. Users will be able to interact with Meta AI in Tagalog, although support for individual features, including live translation, has not been fully detailed for the Philippines.

The release follows Malaysia’s October 20 rollout, when Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta entered Malaysian stores through authorized retailers.

Philippine retailers and launch availability

Ray-Ban Meta will be sold through authorized dealers, including select Vision Express, SM Department Stores, Sunglass Gallery, Eye Society, Sunglass Haven, and Ideal Vision Center locations.

Oakley Meta will be available at select Oakley stores, G-Force stores, and Ideal Vision Center branches.

Ray-Ban will also host a November 10 pop-up at SM Megamall, on the second floor of Building B’s Fashion Hall. Purchases at the event will include a complimentary Ray-Ban Meta tote bag.

Retail prices may differ from the announced starting figures. As of November 6, the Vision Express online catalog lists five configurations at ₱37,990 (about $602) each, all marked sold out on its website. The listings do not establish availability at physical branches.

The glasses require a compatible smartphone and the Meta AI app. Android owners can review software update requirements in TechRepublic’s Android cheat sheet, although Meta’s model-specific compatibility requirements should determine whether a phone is supported.

Camera-equipped eyewear also raises privacy considerations in offices and restricted spaces. Similar concerns have surfaced in Singapore’s smart-glasses privacy debate, particularly around recording without consent.

Buyers planning a November 10 purchase should confirm their preferred frame’s availability, final price, and supported AI features with the retailer. Announced starting prices do not guarantee that every configuration will be offered at that amount.
