Archiving of old files

By HBB ·
I would like to be able to burn to CD all files on a server that fall between 2 specified dates.
The important thing here is that the folder structure needs to be preserved as well.

I know I can do a search and find all the files and then delete them from the server using the search results page but before doing so I need to burn them or even copy them to a temp folder for burning later, but I need to be able to record the folders where each file was located on the server therefor being able to burn all the specific files including the folder structure would be ideal.

Is there a techique available or even some affordable software to achieve this.

Would appreciate any assistance
Thank you

you can always use nero for backing up and burning your cds . nice gui as well . otherwise , there is no simple cut through technique ( script or just a command ) to satisfy all you stated above .

Using "robocopy.exe" (from windows resource kit) to make a script, you can obtain these results. I used it for backup or replication also.
