Are ink printers worth it in 2025, or are there better options?

Hi, I was wondering if it is a good choice to get a ink printer in 2025, or if there are some better cost-effective alternatives?

When you mention “ink” printers, I can only think of thermal printers that do not use ink. In this modern day and age, inkjet printers can be purchased for as little as $50 but it’s the cost of ink where the manufacturers make the big bucks. I agree that you haven’t provided enough information to determine how you intend to use the printer to offer precise advice on what is best for you.

Depends on how much you print per day

Inkjets are more expensive per page but on the up side they tend to be cheaper to buy.

Laser Printers are far cheaper per page, generally have a greater number of Pages Per Day capacity so if you print within the range that they are designed for then they are the better option on the price per page cost.

Also depends on what it is you want to print Inkjets tend to have a jaggeder line on the edges of each colour where as colour Lasers do not but by the same token they can not print CD or DVD Labels /faces.

So it all depends on what it is you want to print and how many and for that to answer your question you’ll need to look at the specifications of each printer.
