Best B&W laser printer w/ a big, refillable toner tank for less than $150?
Can I have help choosing a good, inexpensive monochrome laser printer for home use that has a large toner tank?
I ask because I’m sick of fighting my Canon Pixma MX922 scanner/printer’s inkjets & tiny ink cartridges. It apparently doesn’t like being used as a home printer, since the inkjets dry up due to non-use for too long.
It also can’t be woke up by printing to it thru my home network’s router.
I can just keep it to scan with and I’ll just print everything in B&W on another printer.
Who needs color printing at home anyhow? I’m no artist & color ink is a waste of $. I constantly forget to select Monochrome as I print or I accidentally hit Quick Print and some useless piece uses up more color ink from the tiny cartridges.
A large laser toner tank would be a real delight. I had a few Brother MFC-7820 laser printer scanners that were awesome. HUGE toner tank lasted forever and a local shop could refill them cheaply.
I even used them for my agents to use in my real estate office that I had. Being B&W kept them from printing home sale’s Open House flyers on. 😉
It would be even be better if I can buy it on walmart.com since I have a Gift Card from there to spend.
If you’re not supposed to endorse brands here, maybe just give me a link to a TOP 5 list and mention which one you suggest or have.
Please remember that I need cheap, definitely under $150 and not an HP with their rip-off toner Subscription requirement. It’s just for 1-3x a month for home printing. I can send any needed color print jobs to The UPS Store for $2 setup + 40¢ a page. 😉
