Following up, the art of checking on something as it progresses. Many of us have used this technique when applying for a job but seem to forget it once we get there. A good sales person will follow up on their customers, so they can continue to do business but when we fix a computer, a server or so we do not follow up. We don’t check to make sure it still works. Is it fear that it failed? Is it fear the customer might want you to do more? Why don’t we follow up on our work in the tech industry?
Do you follow up? How do you follow up? Don’t you hate when people below you don’t follow up and let things slip between the cracks and it makes you look bad? or are looking bad because you did not follow up on them?
