IPad Pro Frozen but won’t restart either
LockedAfter clicking on a notification to open another app, my Ipad Pro 11″ is completely stuck on the app. I can still open up control menu and swipe down to see notifications but I can’t take any actions that would close the app (swiping up, tapping notifications, etc.) I also can’t interact with the app (it’s Instagram if that matters). I also had the photos app open as a separate screen as I was using a ref for drawing in procreate, and this window is now also frozen on the screen and I can’t interact with it at all.
Of course, my first instinct was just to restart but to my horror, holding the power button doesn’t prompt the slider to come up. I can tap it to turn off the iPad but once it turns on again it goes directly back to the frozen app. Of course, shutting down through settings is off the table since its impossible to get to the app.
I’m currently waiting for the battery to drain in the hopes that it could force close the app, but I figured I’d request some help from people who may actually know what the issue is.
