Macbook user opinions wanted...

By Forum Surfer ·
I'll keep this short and sweet. Notebook prices of any type are ridiculous. I need to purchase a new laptop for work. The new Dell Latitudes (which look so much better than before), the black macbook and the Alienware 15.4" (not very professional looking but who cares) are all priced similarly. For less than $200 you can get a 320 gb 7200 rpm hard drive and 4 gigs of memory compatable with either of them, which is much cheaper than any of the manufacturers charge for factory upgrades. I'm not interested in Lenovo, I've not had pleasant experiences in the past from them...with everything to tricked out x61-series to run of the mill 15.4" models in the t series. I've helped setup home networks for friends and haven't had a lot of experience with bootcamp other than getting basic hardware drivers, wireless and printers up and running. I have worked with macbooks but I've never had an ongoing affair with them. I'm interested to hear other's opinions on the macbooks with bootcamp. I'll need bootcamp due to countless network tools I use that don't have a Mac version. I'll primarily be using it on the go working with outlying areas and troubleshooting Cisco equipment. Ideas and opinions from any Mac users? How well does the Mac recognize usb items plugged in via usb?
