Netopia Cayman 3500 router VPN question

By dschwer ·
Hi all

I am trying to use my cayman 3500 series router to allow VPN access to my network. Does anyone have any steps to do this. I tried the steps from Netopia's site but I get access through the pinhole I created.

thanks

Dale

Are there any other routers on your network?
Which VPN software are you using?
Do you have a DHCP server or static IP's?

If you can, set up a small IP range for remote access users, give them each a static IP address.
Does the router you are using have built in DHCP? If so, enter the IP range and subnet for your users. If there are other routers on your network, you may have to update routing tables to inform each router of the others existence. Complicated to answer your question peoperly with more information.
