Our small network does not have a print server. Instead we a have several shared printers on several separate machines. One of those machines was running Windows 2003 Server (however, it was not being used any longer as a server of any kind). It’s only job was to share the printer connected to it. Since that made no sense, I uninstalled it’s printer and shut down the machine so it could be used somewhere else and connected the printer to another machine, installed it, and shared it. Now, when users go to connect to this printer our directory has two copies of the printer to choose from–the new version on the new host and the old version on that old server. How do I get that old listing out of the directory?
