VB network mapping script not working

By jasonemmg ·
We had a new 2003 R2 server installed recently.

The VB network mapped drive script we had written does not work on the only Vista Business PC we have in the office.

When the user logs in his mapped network drives do not appear, he has to run the old .bat log-in script manually.

How do I fix this problem?

Thank you!
Jason

logon scripts to run as admin

by markp24 In reply to VB network mapping script ...

hi
It would be related to Vista's UAC control.

see if this link helpos you out
http://unlockforus.blogspot.com/2008/06/how-to-run-scripts-as-administrator-in.html

also this one may help
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766208(WS.10).aspx

and if those dont seem to work you can turn off UAC to test if its the issue by

1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Select System and Maintenance
4. Click Administrative Tools
5. Double-click System Configuration
6. If your prompted to Click Continue, then click continue
7. Select the Tools tab in the System Config window
8. Here you can choose Disable UAP or Enable UAP from the bottom of the dropdown list
9. Click Launch
10. Reboot to see effect
