In reply to which Software Is Best For Teaching?
I agree with Kees that this is something for your CIO and IT to pick and implement.
My view is that “best” is also a trap. I’ve seen people and companies fixate on best when what they really need is a solution. Then it’s a matter of seeing if the solution works and is not going to blow the budget.
Here’s a write up of LANSCHOOL. Frankly it sounds like ZOOM is good enough if you need an all hours student interaction system. The student can get on the call at a time agreed upon for teaching or what is needed at the time.
“LANSCHOOL is a software product designed for classroom management, monitoring, and collaboration. It allows teachers to control students’ computer activity, share content, and communicate with them in real-time.
LANSCHOOL has been around for many years and is a well-established product in the education technology space. It has received positive reviews from many educators who find it helpful in managing their classroom activities and ensuring that students stay on task.
That being said, the effectiveness of LANSCHOOL may depend on the specific needs of your classroom and teaching style. Some educators may find it too controlling or intrusive, while others may find it to be a valuable tool for managing their students’ computer use.
Overall, LANSCHOOL is a reputable and well-regarded product in the education technology space. If you are looking for a tool to help you manage your classroom activities and keep your students on task, it may be worth considering. However, as with any software product, it’s always a good idea to do your research and try it out for yourself to see if it meets your needs.”
