wireless connection for all users

By jsarinana ·
I have a XP prof. laptop Centrino M. I created a wireless connection to my access point which is using WEP key. Works fine, when I log into the computer using another user account I see the wireless connection but it will not give me a conection. both users have Admin rights to the laptop. Why can't both users get a connection? only the user that created the connection has wireless connection when he is logged in? ?

Configure the wep key again and the user giving you the problem. Once you make the connection restart the computer and log in with that user it should connect automatically.

Since that user has never connected to the router\ap you must establish the connection once then it will keep the configuration and automatically log in everytime.

If you are running the wireless on a WINDOWS 2000 or XP machine, we have found through practice that it is best to setup the Wireless connection while logged into local Administrator, then all the settings will be passed on to all users who use that machine.
