Wireless Questions…..

Hi to all!,
I am pretty new at this wireless thing and well here is what I have and what I am trying to do..
I have a DWL-2000AP, I am trying to set it up to wireless with our network, but we want it to have the SSID disabled and also have a WEP set on it with ASCII 128 bits. I can get it so that both are on it but then it puts the SSID in the Preferred Networks spot in the Wireless Network Conenction properties and well when it is in there it automatically connects to it because ti sin that list. I have tried to remove it, but everytime I configure it so I can get to the network it pops right back up in there and if I reboot it sees it????? The Laptop I am using is Windows XP and I am just using Windows to configure it…
I am also not familar with what the difference is between the Open System and the Shared Key, along with the WPA/-PSK (but we dont have a Radius Server,so this one wont work)

if anyone has any suggestions for me, they would be greatly appreciated!!!

usually they come with a feature where you can disable ssid broadcast. From what I saw on the dlink emulator for this AP It does not give you the feature to disable the ssid broadcast. So I would say you cant do this.
