Wipro Trims Data Center Costs, Branch-Office Support Work with Software Upgrade

Wipro is a global leader in providing IT services, so naturally it wants to operate its own IT infrastructure with model efficiency. The Wipro IT Management Group, which provides internal IT services to more than 130,000 employees across multiple offices, is upgrading its 900 Windows-based virtual machines to the Windows Server 2012 operating system. With the increased scalability of the Hyper-V technology in Windows Server 2012, the group can trim server and software costs by as much as 50 percent.
