Business Analytics systems are required to get fact-based insight to compete effectively and user expectations are escalating rapidly. Yet, Procurement is a business function that traditionally is underserved by enterprise BI and EPM investments, and procurement professionals often are forced to manage suppliers, spending, and expenses on spreadsheets or with basic systems. Pre-built analytic and planning applications, delivered quickly and cost-effectively with in-memory performance and enterprise scale are necessary. This paper examines the advantages of pre-built analytic and planning applications for procurement, delivered on optimized Oracle Engineered Systems, and how they can be a foundational element of a vibrant, growing analytic capability that will pay ongoing dividends.
