monday work management is a tool that can empower your project management workflow to be smooth and efficient. You’ll find all the tools you need in one user-friendly workspace to help you create a system that can help your teams collaborate and get things done.

Sometimes, however, you or a team member might have an idea that jumps to the front of the brain queue, and you may need to get it onto the board quickly before that idea vanishes into the ether.

Instead of having to open a web browser, log in to your monday work management space and add a task for the idea, why not simply email the idea to the board so that an item is automatically created for you? After all, isn’t project management all about working smarter and not harder? If that sounds like something you want to add to your workflow, keep reading.

What you’ll need to submit a monday work management item via email

The only things you’ll need to make this work are a valid monday work management account, a board to work with and any email account. That’s it.

How to locate the necessary email address

The first thing you must do is locate the necessary email address for the board in question. Log in to your monday work management Workspace and then navigate to the board.

Once there, click the three-dot menu button in the top-right corner of the window. From the resulting pop-up menu (Figure A), click Board Settings | Create Items Via Email.

In the resulting pop-up (Figure B), you’ll be shown the email address for the board. Copy that address and either create an email contact for it or paste it into a file you can easily access.

If you wish, you can also customize the email address for that board. To do that, click the dropdown arrow in the pop-up window and edit the email address in the resulting field (Figure C).

The custom email address can only be used by those members of the board with a monday work management account. For all other people, you must use the secure address.

How to compose your monday work management board email

The email to be sent to your monday work management board must be in this form:

  • The Recipient line is where you use the board’s email address.
  • The Subject line will become the item’s title on the board.
  • The Body will become an update for the new item and can include files.

Once you’ve composed your email, send it. The email will show up on the board in question as a new item.

Keep it simple

By creating items in this manner, you make interacting with monday work management simpler, which has the effect of making your work life easier. Start submitting items to your boards via email and see if your workflow doesn’t become considerably more efficient. Just remember to save those email addresses as contacts so you’re not having to type them out every time.
