Hi–I have a Brother HL-2040 laser printer that has suddenly begun making horrible clicking sounds when I try to print from the paper tray; sometimes it prints one page before stopping within the Ready LED glowing red. I have taken the major pieces (color cartridge, paper tray) out and reassembled the printer; this worked before, but it didn’t this time.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has ideas on what is causing us and/or what I can do to fix it. Thanks!
