dos not printing in win xp

I have aclient who has customised software written in pascal/borland. It works fine on any computer with win98 & above. But hwen it comes to xp, it does nto follow th eprint command. However all other functionality's are supported. Can soemone help?

Reload your printers as local printers

You can not print from DOS-based programs unless you are printing to a local port on that PC. You will need to add the desired printer to the WinXP PC as a local printer and define a local port. If you are printing to a network printer, it is a fairly simple process in Win XP to define a local TCP/IP port.

On the WinXP PC, open the properties window for the desired printer. Select the Ports tab, then select "Add port." Select a port type of TCP/IP, then enter the IP address of the network printer. Set this port as the default port for your printer. You can also use this method to define a local port for a shared printer.
