Reload your printers as local printers

You can not print from DOS-based programs unless you are printing to a local port on that PC. You will need to add the desired printer to the WinXP PC as a local printer and define a local port. If you are printing to a network printer, it is a fairly simple process in Win XP to define a local TCP/IP port.

On the WinXP PC, open the properties window for the desired printer. Select the Ports tab, then select "Add port." Select a port type of TCP/IP, then enter the IP address of the network printer. Set this port as the default port for your printer. You can also use this method to define a local port for a shared printer.
