Excel not printing

I have a client that can not print from a network printer in Excel only. When you try and find the printer in Excel its not there to choose. ANY IDEAS!!! I have not seen that before.

Are any other printers showing up? If so, try deleting that printer and reinstalling it. If that doesn’t work, try clicking Start, Run, and put in the path to Excel with the regserver switch (e.g. “c:\program files\microsoft office\office\excel.exe”/regserver). This fixes some wierd problems in Office programs, though I’ve never heard of this problem before. Good luck!

Thanks a lot but I have tried that as well as saving the file. But it will not print anything on that printer, but will on any other network printer.

Check the template

I had this problem before. Just rename the template for testing purpose. After renamed the template excel will generate a new one. (Do not delete the old template. Keep it there just in case you need it)… It sounded like a form of macro virus.

That’s a good thought about a macro virus. If that doesn’t help, try adding a second copy of that printer. If all the other network printers show up, it may not have any problem with this one being added again. Then, if it recognizes it, delete the original one.
