Hp printer (All in One)

By trotski ·
Can someone suggest a solution to the following: I have a problem with an HPpsc2355 which when printing off IE only prints a couple of inches & stops. The print spooler can not be stopped & Win XP will not shut down! I have updated everything including BIOS to no avail. The host PC is a Packard Bell imedia 1402, on XP with 512ram, Intel? Celeron? D processor 335 & P-Bell/Gigabyte M/B. HP support only suggest reset of printer. MS KB has no entries that I can find.

since hp gave m$ the drivers for thier all in ones for inclusion into xp.
and m$ did thier usuall and completely screwed the drivers up.
best thing to do, send the all in one back,to hp.
saying, since you f%^ked up by giving microshaft the drivers and not supporting it, refund the money or release real drivers.

what port is the printer physically connected to, and what port does windows say it's connected to?
I've seen this with hp all in ones where windows gets the port screwed up, on a monthly basis.

is that what

windows say or your actual connection?
hp all in ones don't always use real connection since ms included the drivers, windows loses the connection data and defaults to that dot4 connection.

I've been nagging hp about this since I first ran across it.

it could be that a patch for ie broke the printing function.
though that would be a major screwup by ms' programmers.

Add Printer Memory?

What about adding memory to the printer?

Memory doubled to 512mb. Printer at another location so will reply to port question shortly. Could this be a power problem? If so a powered usb hub should help. Remember it.s a Packard Bell.
