Event Viewer

by GSG In reply to Printing Error

Have you looked in the Event Viewer to see if any sort of error is listed there? The Microsoft Knowledgebase is getting better, so if you had the error codes you might find it.

The other option would be to delete the printer, and uninstall the drivers. Then set the printer back up with newly installed drivers. I can't count how many times I've had to do this... Mostly on an NT 4.0 server.

I have the same issue

I have the same issue. If you have corrected your problem please let me know how that was done. In order for me to print any and all text I must copy and paste into Microsoft Word and print from Word.

registry entries for that particular printer is missing

by bhatnagar_nitin In reply to Printing Error

I suppose the error description is self-explainatory. You need to manually remove any remains for this printer entry in your registry and then set it again by reinstalling. There are cases when certain printer preferences can not be opened but default properties are shown. I am sure you will get errors when you play around more with this printer.
Better reinstall it but only after removing left-overs from the registry.
Here is the path to all printer settings:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers
