Here’s the situation:
PC-a running XP-SP2 with a HP 2015 printer connected to it (USB), running fine, latest drivers installed, and shared.
PC-b and PC-c on the same network, configured to use the aforementioned shared printer.
Initially, printing from the 2 remote PC’s works fine, but after a few print jobs there will be an error when trying to print.
When trying to look at the printers properties (on the remote PC’s) they will both give me the “Print spooler not running” error.
However, the service seems to be running, and re-starting the service _once_ won’t work. Only restarting the spooler services several times will resolve the problem, but just temporarily.
I have re-installed the printer numerous times, but the problem stays.
Any clues?
