I have a production workstations running WinXP Pro with SP2. There are two locally installed printers on these machines, using Direct IP printing. My users are locking up the local print queue by sending print jobs to the wrong printer. (I know, tell them to send it to the correct printer. Let’s pretend we can’t do that for now.) Is there some way to hide one of these printers, so that when the print dialog box pops up, they only see the one I want them to see? The users are NOT logging into the workstations (we are on Novell). The workstation logs into our network, and the users merely log into the Internet Explorer based application. (Yes, bad security model. Let’s pretend that doesn’t matter for now.)
thx
