I had been considering the purchase of a laptop computer for my own personal use for about the past 6 months. Ever since I installed a wireless router in my home, I have been fixated on the idea of getting and replying to e-mail from my easy chair. And with the widespread availability of WiFi hotspots around town, I figured a laptop would allow me to write articles, blogs, and e-mails from just about anywhere, thus freeing me from the confines of my home office.
It was with that mindset that I walked into a local Best Buys and found a deal on a Compaq Presario V2000 notebook. I have been generally impressed by the amount of computing power contained in this relatively inexpensive laptop.
