In the World of Warcraft, this is the time of year we celebrate the Winter Veil. Members of the Technologia guild mark this festive time of year in various ways, ranging from dungeon raids to snowball fights. This TechRepublic Photo Gallery reveals some of Technologia’s recent revelry.

The Apple iTouch is the company’s latest portable multimedia iPod device. The iTouch includes the usual music playing features, but adds video playback and WiFi connectivity to its arsenal. We took a first look at the iTouch recently and here is what we found. The next step of course is to crack it open and see what it looks like on the inside.

Long, long ago in a galaxy not so far away, electronic gaming was conducted in a dark place at your local shopping mall called an Arcade. The glory of posting your initials next to a highest score came at the expensive of a small fortune in quarters. However, now that we are all grown-up, we can relive our Arcade-glory with a new machine from Dreamauthentics. The company granted us permission to publish a gallery showing off some of their latest stand-alone and table-top devices. It is time to save the world again.

As we showed you earlier, the Hallow’s End celebration in the World of Warcraft is a major game-world-wide event. This year’s celebration saw the introduction of the Headless Horseman and several quests involving his story. Technologia gathered together a raid group and headed to the Scarlet Monastery to end the Headless Horseman’s reign of terror.

Think Geek is offering the WiFi Detector T-Shirt just in time for holiday shopping. If you have any tech geeks on your list, this shirt is almost a must buy. The WiFi Detector T-Shirt will find broadcasting WiFi signals and notify you by flashing indicator lights across your chest. Never be without a WiFi connection again. We took the shirt for a test drive recently to one of our favorite lunch destinations.

Recently, some representatives from Verizon stopped by the TechRepublic offices to gives us a sneak peak at several new phones the company is introducing during the holiday season. One of the phones we looked at was the LG Voyager. The Voyager is the flagship cell phone this holiday season with features like an external touch screen and lateral clamshell design. We should get a good look at the Verizon Wireless version of the LG Voyager before the end of the year. Until then, we took a few snapshots of this phone for a First Look Gallery.

During a recent presentation by representatives from Verizon Wireless, TechRepublic got a first look at the Venus by LG. The Venus includes an MP3 player, Bluetooth, two megapixel camera, and dual front screens. It even includes touch sensitive navigation.

Recently, some representatives from Verizon stopped by the TechRepublic offices to gives us a sneak peak at several new phones the company is introducing during the holiday season. One of the phones we looked at was the Blackberry Pearl. The Blackberry Pearl is familiar to many users as a cell phone / e-mail reader. We should get a good look at the Verizon Wireless version of the Blackberry Pearl before the end of the year. Until then, we snuck in a few snapshots of the this phone for a First Look Gallery.

One of my favorite things about the World of Warcraft is the way Blizzard (the company the created the online world) keeps things fresh with in-game world events. For what is known as Hallow’s End (Halloween out here in the real world) Blizzard has unleashed the Headless Horseman on an unsuspecting player-base. This demented demon terrorizes the small towns where players first start their characters. I took some snap shots of the event to use as motivation for Technologia. Perhaps the guild will accept the challenge of vanquishing the Headless Horseman and ridding the World of Warcraft of this menace — at least until 8:00 pm.

The first phone we looked at was the Juke, which just recently went on sale. The new Juke cell phone / mp3 player from Verizon is a stylish gadget – we are looking forward to reviewing a working unit for a few days. However, in the meantime, we did manage to get a few pictures of the sample phone the Verizon reps brought with them.
